Psyche Facts is one page that shows labels written by Rising Compass. There is nothing to sign up for and no account to make, so most of what a privacy policy usually has to cover does not happen here. What follows is the whole of it.
The site can load Google Analytics 4 to count how many people arrive and how far they get through the deck. It is the only outside service the page loads on its own.
It does not load until you allow it. In California, the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, nothing reaches Google until you press Accept, and pressing Decline means no request is made at all for that visit. Elsewhere analytics start on, and the Decline button in the banner turns them off for good. You can change your mind at any point through Cookie preferences at the bottom of the page.
Your IP address is shortened by Google before it is stored, and Google holds the resulting data. Nothing here is sold or shared with anyone else, and there is no advertising pixel, no cross-site tracker, and no session recording on this site.
What you write in this box is kept, anonymously, and may be used to 1) discover the best matching songs, 2) improve the experience and quality of Psyche Facts and Libra Engine initiatives, and 3) be read by Claude/Anthropic.
If you write a note in the What ails you? box, it goes to this site's server, which uses it to find songs on file that fit. A short note is often answered right there. A longer one may also be sent to Claude, a model made by Anthropic, which reads it and helps choose the songs. Anthropic receives it under its commercial terms, which do not let it train its models on what you wrote.
This site keeps what you write. Each note is stored as written, beside the songs it was given and how they were chosen, so the answers can be checked and made better. Nothing stored with a note says who wrote it. The same note sent again is answered straight from that record. Your IP address is held in memory only for the short wait between notes, to stop the box being flooded, and it is never written down. Because a note is kept exactly as you type it, leave your name and anything else that identifies you out of it.
If a note reads as though you might be in danger, the page puts crisis line numbers above the songs.
If your browser sends either signal, analytics stay off no matter what is stored from a previous visit, and the banner will tell you so rather than offering a choice it would not honour.

Whether your region needs to be asked first. Holds the word
deny or allow, not your location. |

Light or dark, so the page does not flash the other one at you. Stored in your browser, never sent anywhere. | Until cleared |
_ga, _ga_* |
Google Analytics, and only if you allowed it. | Up to 2 years |
To know whether to ask you first, the page makes one request to
leit.libraengine.com, a service run by Libra Engine on the
same server as this site. It reads your IP address, answers with a country
and a US state, and keeps no record of the lookup. If it cannot answer,
the site assumes you are somewhere that has to be asked.
The web server keeps ordinary access logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site running and to spot abuse. They are not joined to analytics and not used to build a profile of anyone.
Under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to have it deleted or corrected, and to opt out of its sale or sharing.
Nothing is sold and nothing is shared in the sense those laws mean. California visitors are treated as opt-in, so analytics stay dark until you say otherwise, and Global Privacy Control is honoured as a binding opt-out. To make a request, write to the address below.
Every label here is a copy of one Rising Compass wrote. This site holds no information about the people who read it beyond what is described above, and it does not accept song submissions. Those go to Rising Compass.
Questions about any of this, or a request under the rights above, go to chad@chadworks.co.
